The Texas Cannabis Crusade will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009. We are marching for the re-legalization of cannabis. If you would like to join thousands of Texans flooding the streets of Austin in the name of cannabis reform, please join us.
The first annual Texas Cannabis Crusade was held on May 3rd, 2008. ( http://www.texascannabiscrusade.com/2008 ) This one actually gives a lot more information, such as how long the walk is, but be careful of the date- this one is from last year.
The event was a huge success, with nearly 300 cannabis using Texans marching through downtown to the Capitol and over 1,000 attendees at Zilker Park.

MAY 16TH, 2009 SATURDAY SOMEWHERE AROUND DALLAS, TX
D/FWNORML is hosting a candle-light vigil to honor Texas medi-pot patients and draw attention to HB 164. The vigil will be held in or around the Dallas area on Saturday, May 16th. That's a couple of weeks after TexasNORML's Cannabis Crusade in Austin.
Planned Line-up to include:
* 2 or 3 medical marijuana testimonials by 'patients' or their caregivers;
* A speaker from LEAP
* We're trying to get a politician to speak, too.
***Line-up subject to change***
There will be a band, restrooms available, food & drinks for sale by a vendor, and tables where you can purchase T-shirts, hemp products, art, and other stuff.
This will be a family-safe event. No guns, no alcohol, no violence. |
